The star has finally spoken out about the new Lightyear movie.
Allen has been vocal on his conservative views and recently drew ire for his comments on the podcast "WTF with Marc Maron," in which he said he liked that former president Donald Trump “pissed people off.” In an interview with the EW in 2018, he said, “politically, I’m kind of an anarchist.” He went on to say that he is for whatever political party that spends money more responsibly and has referred to himself as “fiscally conservative.” Evans on the other hand has been known to have liberal views, having called out Trump and other republicans on Twitter for their actions. Tim Allen was re-cast as the voice of Buzz Lightyear for the new animated movie 'Lightyear,' which is out in cinemas now. Allen has gone on to reprise the role in the sequels that followed, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4. Lowe, were quick to point out that the Buzz Lightyear in the Lightyear movie and Toy Story are two different characters, saying on Twitter, “Allen voices the toy” and Evans voices the character that “inspires Buzz Lightyear,” so the discord isn’t “a thing at all.” Key BackgroundĪllen has voiced Buzz Lightyear since 1995 when the first iteration of the character came out with the release of Toy Story.
